Jokes, creative writing and illustrations by Letterbox children

The Letterbox 10th Anniversary Joke Book, has been produced by the University of Leicester to mark 10 years of the programme.

It features jokes, creative writing and illustrations by Letterbox children from around the country, and contributions from several famous authors and illustrators used in Letterbox Club, with a foreword by Sue Townsend, the creator of the Adrian Mole books.

Copies were handed out at our recent conference and copies will be sent to all Virtual School Heads, Directors of Children's Services, policy makers and members of council so they can read about children's own experiences of Letterbox Club and the impact of the programme.

Edward Timpson MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Children and Families, wrote:

'I particularly enjoyed reading the Joke Book produced to celebrate your tenth anniversary as did my son. It's lively, colourful and I'm sure will bring a smile to all those who read it.'
