  • Letterbox Club Continues to Provide Support Across the UK

    Since its launch in 2009, The Letterbox Club has aimed to provide enjoyable educational support for children who are looked-after across the country.

     

    The programme is dedicated to working alongside participating local authorities, councils and schools in England, Wales, Scotland & Northern Ireland. Letterbox Club now reaches over 11,000 children across the UK each year!

     

     

     

    England

     

    Originally launched as a national pilot in 2007, Letterbox Club in England is now delivered in over 100 Local Authorities!

    Wales

     

    The Letterbox Club has been provided in Wales since 2009, and is largely funded by the Welsh Government, with some Local Authorities and Education Consortia supporting additional children to take part. The Parcels in Wales are also available with Welsh language books and learning provisions.

    Scotland

     

    After a pilot scheme in 2013, Letterbox Club Scotland was launched in 2014 in cooperation with Scottish Booktrust.

    Northern Ireland

     

    The Letterbox Club has been provided in Northern Ireland since 2009, and is funded by the Fostering Network Northern Ireland through their Fostering Achievement programme.
