The Chiswick Book Festival, held in September, was another great success and the Letterbox Club was again one of the main beneficiaries.
Festival director, Torin Douglas, has announced that Letterbox will receive £1,244 thanks to money raised during the three-day event.
Torin Douglas said: 'All of us involved in the Festival are very pleased to have been able to help such good causes, as well as having a very enjoyable event! I was delighted to be invited to hear Letterbox Club's progress report earlier this year and learn just how many children they have been helping.'
This year's festival, which ran from September 17-19, boasted a line-up of speakers which included Terry Pratchett, Andrew Motion, Val McDermid, Adele Parks, Michael Wood, Robert McCrum, Allison Pearson, Sadie Jones, Prue Leith and Claire Tomalin.
The 2010 festival was again based in St Michael & All Angels Church & Parish Hall, with some events taking place at other Chiswick venues.
